Trump says Bill Gates is requesting to visit Mar-A-Lago

The Florida Voice reported, "President-elect Donald Trump said billionaire businessman Bill Gates is asking to visit Mar-a-Lago, the home of the former president, in a post on Truth Social.

“Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe,’ Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT,” the post said.

Some users expressed confusion about the post, implying that the former president’s message may have been directed towards Elon Musk, whose son is nicknamed “X.” Musk and his son reportedly visited Mar-a-Lago in November.

“Is Trump sending out a Bat signal to get Elon back to Mar-a-Lago so he’s not stuck alone with Bill Gates tonight? Can someone translate this Truth?” one user said.

“This Truth Social post from President Trump is clearly directed to Elon Musk because it mentions his son, X. Interesting that he didn’t post it here. What do you think this means?” another user said.

Gates, who is reportedly worth $104 billion, congratulated Trump for his victory on the platform, X, in November.

“America is at its strongest when we use ingenuity and innovation to improve lives here in the U.S. and around the world. I hope we can work together now to build a brighter future for everyone,” Gates said at the time.

In recent weeks, Trump has had other reported visitors, such as Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Canada’s Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc, Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly, and more.

Trump will be inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2025 at the U.S. Capitol with opening remarks reportedly beginning at 10:30 a.m."
