Thanks a Lot: Mazie Hirono Accidentally Makes Trump’s Case During Rosenstein Hearing

Let’s just start off with the basic acknowledgement that Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii has a gift for saying silly things.

Who can forget what she said during the Kavanaugh hearing about men? That they should just “shut up.”



But during the questioning of former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, she really stepped in it with her questioning.

I don’t know what Hirono thought she was going to discover. She was pressing Rosenstein about the stories he was involved in secretly recording the president in a 25th Amendment scheme.

Rosenstein disbursed her of the conspiracy saying he never was involved in any such scheme, that he never recorded Trump and never suggested he could be removed by the 25th Amendment.

But while she was doing that, she made the case for the Administration. She got Rosenstein to say that he agreed that there was no evidence of obstruction of justice. She kept pressing and Rosenstein said that “he agrees that there was no evidence of a crime” by Trump. He also confirmed that no one was in favor of prosecution. Thanks, Mazie, for destroying Democrats’ lie yet again.
