In the face of the spread of the coronavirus and the stock market tumbling over the last few weeks, the latest Core Political survey from Reuters/Ipsos shows that President Trump’s approval rating remains unchanged from previous weeks, holding at 40%. Over half (55%) of Americans say the disapprove of the job that President Trump is doing as president.
Four in five (82%) Republican registered voters say they approve of Trump’s performance in office, including half (50%) who say they strongly approve of the president.
Among Democratic registered voters, the reverse is true: 9 in 10 disapprove of the president (90%) including three-quarters (76%) who say they strongly disapprove of the president.
