ICYMI: Ex-Disney actress arrested for vandalizing during pro-Palestine protest

A Connecticut woman was one of three women arrested for vandalizing a building in New Hampshire during a pro-Palestine protest.

Bridget Irene Shergalis, 27, of Dayville, was charged with riot, sabotage, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct. Bridget Shergalis is an American actress and comedian, best known for her Disney role as Bridget Cook in the Disney Channel series, So Random!, according to Fandom.

Shergalis, along with 22-year-old Sophie Marika Ross of Housatonic, MA and 19-year-old Calla Mairead Walsh of Cambridge, MA, were found on the roof of the Elbit Systems building on Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, NH.

Merrimack police said they were called to the defense and homeland security business’s address on Monday just before 8 a.m.

A report said protestors blocked the driveway and that multiple people were believed to be on the roof. Smoke was also spotted on the roof.

Officers who responded said they saw protestors on the scene voicing their support for Palestine in the Israel/Hamas war.

The protesters cleared the way to allow police access to the property.

They said they found that the building had been spray-painted and windows were smashed. At least one of the main lobby doors had been locked by a bicycle anti-theft device.

Officers also confirmed that three people were on the roof.

A group of officers assembled and went to the roof. Shergalis, Ross, and Walsh were found and arrested without incident.

“Evidence on scene suggests that the smoke was caused by an incendiary device similar to ones later located on one of the suspects,” Merrimack police said. “While clearing the roof, officers noted additional damage which consisted of more spray painting, smashed skylights, and damage to HVAC equipment.”

Ross, Walsh and Shergalis were all charged with riot, sabotage, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.

They were held on preventative detention and scheduled to be arraigned in the Hillsborough County Superior Court on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

“This incident is still under investigation,” police noted. “The Merrimack Police Department is being assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is working toward identifying any and all coconspirators.”
