Texas Tech black student org: “White lives don’t matter”

Texas Tech University’s Black Student Association is under fire after the organization tweeted that “white lives” and “blue lives” don’t matter following the police shootings of Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castle in Minnesota, according to CampusReform.

Just one day before the five police officers were fatally shot in Dallas, the Black Student Association tweeted:

“All lives don’t matter…

White lives don’t matter…

Blue Lives don’t matter…

#Black Lives Matter.”

The tweet has been deleted, but nevertheless, it outraged many Texas Tech students and alumni.

Texas Tech released a statement on Wednesday calling the tweet “not representative of the university.”
