Student organizer rants against capitalism, for free education, and against Hillary

The “Million Student March” for free tuition is back, and along with it, so are these young advocates who rant not only in favor of free college, but also against the capitalist system — and against Hillary Clinton.

The government needs to “reassess its priorities” in order to focus on education, and that “the capitalist system… cannot produce any substantial quality of life,” organizer Darletta Scruggs repeatedly argued Thursday while speaking with Neil Cavuto.

As she continued to rant against the system, Scruggs suggested that, because so many wages from working people were garnished to pay back student debt, perhaps there needs to be a new system.

Cavuto agreed with Scruggs’ repeated point that billionaires are not being taxed enough, and that he sees “a great deal of creativity on the left,” but could not get a response as to if taxing billionaires would cover the cost for free college.

He also tried to engage Scruggs in a conversation about what to cut, including entitlements, though she focused on the defense budget, claiming “it’s not the big a task to have free public community college” and sticking to her claim about priorities rather than acknowledge the need for cuts on all spending.
