Sarah Palin to Bill Nye: “As much a scientist as I am”

Bill Nye was expected to incur some outrage for his suggestion that climate change deniers belong in jail in a video uploaded by the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow. Sarah Palin quipped during the Climate Hustle premiere that “Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am,” as the Hill reported.

“He’s a kids’ show actor; he’s not a scientist,” Palin also noted. While Nye graduated from Cornell University’s School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, he is best known for teaching children about science with his Bill Nye the Science Guy videos.

The scientist/actor has now sullied his name for some though by involving himself into politically controversial topics, through climate change, and previously with abortion.

He has strongly denounced his opponents on both issues. While he strongly believes in the settled science for climate change, he has denied that science tells us life begins at conception.

To say that those in disagreement ought to be jailed as war criminals is an insane claim for anyone to make. Yet, it is Palin whom the media is raising their eyebrows at.
