REPORT: Pro-Trump Ex-Ukrainian Prime Minister Eyes Presidential Run

On Friday, Russian Telegram channels reported that former Ukrainian Prime Minister, Yulia Tymoshenko, is allegedly considering a Presidential run in Ukraine.

Tymoshenko was a candidate in the Ukrainian presidential elections of 2010, but lost that election to Viktor Yanukovych. Tymoshenko received 45.47% of the votes in the second and final round of the election, 3% less than her rival.

Various telegram channels reported that the pro-Trump former Prime Minister was the only Ukrainian politician who attended President Trump's inauguration on January 20.

Tymoshenko allegedly paid for an article in the New York Times that stated "Trump's return to power is changing Ukrainian politics."

She is actively working to end the war in Ukraine. Tymoshenko's rating in the presidential elections is 12.6%, which makes her one of the popular figures in the country.

Some channels speculate that Tymoshenko met with President Trump's camp while in Washington.

According to The Associated Press on June 8, 2024, "Russia [formerly] put former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on its wanted list for unspecified criminal charges.

She reportedly joins Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his predecessor, Petro Poroshenko, on the same list, which also includes scores of officials and lawmakers from Ukraine and NATO countries."

This is a developing story.
