A pro-Trump super PAC raised more than $17 million in the first six months of the year and has $21 million in cash on hand — money that can be used to fuel the president’s 2020 re-election effort, according to a report Wednesday.
American First Action and its affiliated nonprofit, America First Policies, together amassed $17.8 million, Axios reported.
The organization, run by former Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon, brought in 16,649 donations from 11,655 unique contributors, the report said.
It also has $40 million in outstanding donor pledges and has collected $3.75 million of those since the reporting period ended on June 30.
Among the largest contributors are McMahon, who’s married to the WWE’s Vince McMahon, at $1 million; California real estate developer Geoffrey Palmer at $2 million; Liz and Dick Uilhein, founders of the Uline shipping company, at $1 million; and Marlene Ricketts, who owns the Chicago Cubs with her husband, Joe Ricketts, at $500,000.
