President Trump given standing ovation at UFC 302

On Saturday, President Trump received a standing ovation while attending the UFC 302 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

His attendance at UFC came days after becoming the first former U.S. president to be convicted of a crime after he was found guilty on all 34 felony counts in the sham New York criminal “hush money” trial.

President Trump was greeted with a roar of applause and excitement as he was escorted to his cageside seat by UFC CEO Dana White.

From MMA Junkie: "Trump and White’s friendship dates back more than 20 years to when Trump’s Taj Mahal in Atlantic City welcomed the UFC at a time when the promotion was struggling for acceptance."

"White’s affection for Trump has been undying ever since, with White speaking on his behalf at the 2016 Republican National Convention and Trump attending several UFC events during and after his presidency."

Chants of "We want Trump!" and "F*** Joe Biden!" could be heard throughout the night. The quips were so loud, viewers could even hear the audience during the live stream.

Trump's son, Eric, and his wife, Lara, new co-chair of the Republican National Committee, were also in attendance. The RNC is expected to hold their convention on July 15 through July 18, 2024, just days after Trump's proposed sentencing date of July 11.

There is a new movement underway to push the RNC Convention to July 4, instead of July 15, in order to guarantee Trump's attendance.

Sean Strickland, and avid Trump supporter, shared a photo with the President after his win:

Before the photo, Strickland said, "President Trump, you're the man. It's an absolute travesty what they are doing to you."
