North Korea warns it will make US 'fully accountable' for moving ship to region

North Korea on Monday warned the Trump administration it would respond to "reckless acts of aggression" by the U.S. with "whatever methods the US wants to take."

The threat comes days after the Pentagon directed the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson, along with a cruiser and two destroyers to the region following continued missile tests by the hostile nation.

In Pyongyang, North Korea, government leaders said their potential response would be justified in light of the "current grim situation."

"We will make the US fully accountable for the catastrophic consequences that may be brought about by its high-handed and outrageous acts," according to the statement from Korea.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will attend a national meeting of state leaders on Tuesday.
