"The overwhelming majority (85%) of them were single adults (20,868). Context: FYTD24 (with 6 months to go) has already exceeded the TOTAL of FY23 (24,125) and when compared to FY21 (324), it’s a more than 7000% increase."

According to an article recently published by the Border Report, in Texas, "El Paso County officials are asking [the state] to use its own judges and jail space to hold migrants arrested at the border wall on state charges, [citing] lack of resources."
