David Spade: Obama should 'have a little more dignity'

Comedian David Spade ripped President Obama and his wife as too "thirsty" to appear on television in a clip that went viral Sunday evening.

"A president should have a little more dignity," Spade told TMZ, referring to Obama's recent appearance on an episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls."

Spade himself appears thirsty for media attention to promote low budget fare like his recent "Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser," and it was not clear how serious the comedian was in his critique, but the take delighted Obama critics.

"I mean, I realize that Woodrow Wilson went on 'Dancing with the Stars' once, but what president's doing reality shows?" Spade joked. "It just sounds weird to me, you know, it's just too much."
