Wikileaks: Hillary admits her plan would “kill a lot of Syrians… a lot of civilians”

Hillary Clinton seems to be speaking out of both sides of her mouth when it comes to foreign policy and Islam.

During the second presidential debate, Clinton said the U.S. is “not at war with Islam and it is a mistake and it plays into the hands of the terrorists to act as though we are.”

Yet, in a speech given to Goldman Sachs in 2013 published by the anti-secrecy group Wikileaks, Clinton said that implementing a No Fly Zone in Syria and taking out their missile defense system would kill a lot of Syrian civilians.

“They’re getting more sophisticated thanks to Russian imports. To have a no-fly zone you have to take out all of the air defense, many of which are located in populated areas.  So our missiles, even if they are standoff missiles so we’re not putting our pilots at risk—you’re going to kill a lot of Syrians,” she said in her remarks to Goldman Sachs. “So all of a sudden this intervention that people talk about so glibly becomes an American and NATO involvement where you take a lot of civilians.”

Throughout the 2016 campaign, Clinton’s critics have blasted her for her support for the Iraq war as a Senator from New York. Clinton has often said she “regrets” her vote and would do things differently if elected President. These leaked Wall Street speeches suggest she’s never changed.
