German police are now searching for a Tunisian man whose documents were found in the truck that slammed into a market in Berlin on Monday, killing at least 12 people and injure about 50 others.
The Associated Press reported Wednesday the man's identification documents were in the truck, but police have not confirmed if they are searching for more than one suspect in the case. As of Tuesday night, German police had received more than 500 tips regarding the attack.
A truck drove into the crowded Christmas market in western Berlin Monday evening, destroying stalls selling gifts for the holiday season. Christmas markets are a major attraction in the German capital.
A Pakistani man was arrested after being found near the scene of the attack but was released Tuesday when the police didn't have enough evidence to connect him to the incident.
