Trump won't try to prosecute Hillary Clinton

President-elect Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway indicated Tuesday that Trump will not try to prosecute Hillary Clinton once he takes office in January, in an effort to help Clinton "heal."

"I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don't find her to be honest or trustworthy," Conway said on MSNBC. "If Donald Trump can help her heal then perhaps that's a good thing."

Trump himself all but said that he would leave Clinton alone in a "60 Minutes" interview that aired in November. "I don't want to hurt them," he said of the Clintons.

On Tuesday, Conway said that message is likely to resonate in the GOP-led Congress and keep the Republican Party as a whole from pursuing charges.

"I think when the president-elect is also the head of your party ... tells you before he's even inaugurated he doesn't wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members," she said.
