Now that the shock of Donald Trump’s election is abating, rumors abound of who the president-elect will appoint to his cabinet.
One of the more unusual speculations: Ron Paul for Secretary of State.
This one is more of a pipe dream for libertarians/nightmare scenario for neoconservatives than a real possibility, since Trump has not actually floated Paul’s name for any cabinet position.
Jennifer Rubin, a conservative blogger for the Washington Post, started the rumor earlier this year when she tweeted:
