The Simpsons were right about Donald Trump. Everyone else was wrong

The Simpsons would like to say they told you so.

Back in 2000, during their Halloween series “Treehouse of Horror,” the animated comedy correctly predicted that Donald Trump would become President of the United States.

During the 11th season’s episode “Bart to the Future,” Bart Simpson travels to the future where he meets up with his sister, Lisa, in the White House to discover that she is now the president.

“As you know,” Lisa says to her staff in the oval office. “We’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump.”

Simpson then asks cabinet member Milhouse Van Houten how bad the budget is.
