The most libertarian candidate isn’t Gary Johnson

I take no joy in writing this post. I personally interviewed Gov. Gary Johnson just months ago, and I believe him to be an honest man. He was certainly a capable governor.

But at this point, he isn’t the most libertarian candidate for president.

Here are the three big knocks against Johnson:

1- He supports taxing carbon at the federal level. 

While he avoids saying the word tax, he makes it clear that all goods that produce carbon dioxide should pay a higher price. He wants to “make pollutants bear a market cost.”
