Polls show Trump tape shifted millennials the most

America’s largest age demographic of eligible voters has swung wildly in the last month. In mid-September, polls showed Hillary Clinton as low as 31 percent among millennial voters. Now, it’s all changed, and the debate may not have helped Donald Trump in this demographic.

A YouGov/Economist poll shows Hillary Clinton’s millennial support growing by more than 10 percent due after the release of the Trump tapes. According to the YouGov data on September 6, Trump was trailing by 27 points among voters under age 30 in a four-way race, losing 47 to 20 percent.

Their latest polling ending October 8 shows Trump trailing 43 percent — losing to Clinton 58 to 15 percent.

This 16 percent shift could spell doom for the Trump campaign if other polling confirms these numbers. As we’ve pointed out for months, the only reason why Trump has been close in the polls is due to Clinton’s lack of millennial support. In the last two presidential elections, more than 60 percent of younger voters have supported the Democrat.

With Clinton’s numbers hovering around 40 percent, it kept Trump in the race. If her numbers stay in the high fifties, Trump is toast.
