Poll: Trump surges with Hispanics in 11 swing states

Despite the ‘expert’ opinion that Donald Trump’s hardline stance against illegal immigration would alienate Latino voters, a new poll released on Sunday showed he will do the same or better as past Republican candidates.

According to a CBS/YouGov poll that examined 11 swing states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin), Trump is at 37 percent with Hispanic voters, 11 points below Hillary Clinton. Another 8 percent of Latino voters plan on supporting a third party candidate and 6 percent are undecided.

Even though Trump is trailing, he’s doing much better than predictions that Trump would receive the lowest numbers of any Republican in history.

Another 15 percent of Latinos who are not yet voting for Trump said they would consider supporting the billionaire in November.
