New Trump speech gets A+ report card with college millennials

Donald Trump is trailing Hillary Clinton big league with millennials. In a recent YouGov/Economist poll, Trump is trailing Clinton with millennials by 43 percent.

Yet, Trump isn’t letting one poll get to him. He still believes he can win millennials and spoke directly to a crowd of them in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday afternoon.

“Tremendously bad things are happening,” Trump told the audience. “In a Trump administration, we will work everyday to make America great again for everybody including millennials.”

Hillary Clinton and her surrogates have accused her rival of not speaking on policy because he knows nothing about it. Trump put that narrative to rest on Thursday when he told the crowd what he plans to do to address the student debt crisis, help millennials find high paying jobs, and reduce our national debt.

“Under President Obama and Hillary Clinton, the national debt has almost doubled: $20 trillion,” Trump said. “Under my student loan program, we will cap repayment of an affordable portion of a borrower’s income at 12.5 percent. That gives you a lot to play with.”
