The national survey, conducted jointly by five Republican pollsters for American Action Network, a political nonprofit aligned with House Speaker Paul Ryan, found that 81 percent of Americans believe Trump is delivering on his campaign promises; 51 percent said he is having a "positive impact on changing the country, even if this change doesn't always go smoothly."
American Viewpoint, GS Strategy Group, OnMessage Inc., Public Opinion Strategies, and Tarrance Group conducted the poll of 1,000 registered voters Feb. 7-9. The margin of error was 3.1 percentage points.
The survey's additional findings included:
- 52 percent of respondents said they expect the economy to remain about the same under Trump's leadership. But 33 percent predicted it would improve; 12 percent said it would get worse.
