Millennials #FeelTheJohnson, Hillary falls to 37%

A new poll from Fox News confirms Libertarian Party nominee and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson solidifying support among millennials — and gaining support among conservatives.

Polling at 10 percent overall, his RealClearPolitics average is now 8.4 percent; he needs 15 percent to qualify for a presidential debate.

This Fox poll shows he is maintaining support from millennials, polling at 18 percent with voters under age 35. Many of these millennials are current supporters of Bernie Sanders, as shown by Hillary Clinton’s meager 37 percent support among the Democrat-leaning age group.

In recent days, Clinton had seemed to gain ground among millennials in head-to-head match-ups with Donald Trump, but when Johnson is in the race, her margin shrinks. In this Fox poll, the margins are the same.

The reason? Johnson is improving among conservatives. Among all voters, Johnson is winning 8 percent of those “very conservative,” but an impressive 15 percent among those “somewhat conservative.” Johnson is winning 13 percent of identified Republicans.
