Millennial favorite Rand Paul wins reelection in the Senate

and Paul is projected to win his bid for re-election of his Senate seat in Kentucky beating Lexington Mayor Jim Gray (D).

The Kentucky Senator famously ran for president in 2016, but dropped out after coming in 5th place in the Iowa caucus earlier this year.

Paul had a relatively easy time running in deep red Kentucky, and will continue serving at least another 6 years if he decides not to run for president again in 2020.

This is an easy victory for the Senator who became a favorite of millennials for preaching small government, railing against NSA surveillance, and even using a chainsaw to cut the federal tax code in half. That’s bad ass.

Now, that Republicans got a sure hand result from Kentucky, they’ll anxiously wait as votes get tallied in states like New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina to ensure they keep the majority in the Senate.
