Media pounce on Trump's Obamacare misstatement

A day after the Obama administration announced premiums for individual health insurance programs will dramatically increase under Obamacare, much of the media shifted focus to a misstatement Donald Trump made about how the new healthcare law is affecting his employees.

While campaigning Tuesday at his golf club in Doral, Fla., Trump claimed that his employees were having a "horrible" experience with their healthcare plans because of Obamacare.

But the club's manager, David Feder, told reporters afterwards that full-time employees, which he said make up most of the staff, do not use the Obamacare individual exchange systems because they receive care through the club.

"Donald Trump uses employees to pound Obamacare, but they don't use it," read a Los Angeles Times article.

Discussing the Obamacare news on MSNBC, reporter Katy Tur said Trump had "pushed a falsity of his own" in his remarks.
