How my campus is biased against conservatives

Universities pander to liberals, socialist values, and self-entitlement to the point where it limits a constitutional republic, open dialogue, and free speech on college campuses. The way they pander is solely by a false narrative of political correctness.

In the past, I have seen all sorts of secularist and anti-conservative events on my campus — including “The Satanic Temple @ OU,” Drag Queen Limbo, Social Poetry Slam, and De-Stress parties. These events receive more funding than lots of conservative clubs, even with many people having substantially less interest in them. Never has it taken a “liberal” club over a year to get listed by the “Student Program Board,” yet the conservative organization Young Americans for Liberty is still struggling to get recognition on my campus.

The fact that some of our college tuition goes towards formulating a “Gender Sexuality Center” or towards a “Gender & LGBTQ Exclusiveness agenda” is ridiculous. Students investing in college don’t benefit academically from these types of policies.

What is even more irritating to me is how little this prepares students for the real world. In the real world, we don’t have anti-stress parties, safe-spaces, coloring breaks, or dog therapy for those who can’t handle reality. In the real world, you don’t have free counseling for PTSD (which should only be given to those who need it anyway). If you need counseling after debating someone with a clashing opinion, then you are too soft for a professional workplace environment.

Liberal bias in the academic world is getting worse. An example is how often professors push their liberal agenda in their teaching. One particular professor argued that a deontologist, like Immanuel Kant, would think the bible is morally impermissible. Ironically, you would never hear him mention the quote in which Kant calls the Bible, “The most profound book of wisdom.”
