Everything you’re hearing about gun control is wrong

In the wake of the tragic shooting that took place at a gay night club in Orlando, President Obama and Hillary Clinton, along with other politicians and the media have intensified their push for gun control and subsequently a version of the so-called “assault weapons ban.”

Sadly, leftists have turned this tragedy into their political playground.

Now millions of law-abiding citizens are being punished for the acts of a radical Islamic terrorist who pledged allegiance to ISIS. Congress should be working to protect our right and our need to defend ourselves.

Democrats are directing their messaging about gun control at young adults, who, surveys show are less supportive of strict gun control laws. Only 49% of millennials support “more strict” gun laws, as opposed to 56% of baby boomers.

The Senate voted yesterday on four gun control proposals, none of which passed. However, this debate is just beginning. It’s critical that future generations know the truth about their constitutionally protected right so they can prevent the political establishment from assaulting it.
