Evan McMullin pulls ahead of Trump and Clinton in Utah

Independent candidate Evan McMullin is rising fast in Utah.

Just last week in a Deseret News poll, McMullin was in a statistical tie with Trump and Clinton, trailing them by 4 points 26-to-22 percent, but was within the 4.4 point margin of error.

But now, in an Emerson College Polling Society survey released on Wednesday, the former CIA agent is leading Donald Trump by 4 points in his home state.

McMullin is currently pulling in 31 percent of the vote, while Trump has 27 percent, and Hillary Clinton has 24 percent.

Trump has been on a steady decline in Utah, as Mormon voters cannot fathom voting for a candidate they deem to be immoral. Hence, McMullin, a practicing Mormon, is the perfect third party candidate.
