Dear Donald: Pick Tulsi Gabbard as Secretary of State

Rumors are circulating that President-Elect Donald Trump will be meeting with Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) today to discuss cabinet positions in his administration.

If Trump is smart, which we believe he is, he would pick Gabbard to be his Secretary of State.

Here’s why that’s a good thing:

First of all, a Republican President-Elect offering the top diplomat position, who represents the United States around the world, to a Democrat takes bipartisanship to a whole new level.

Gabbard, who was a hardcore Bernie Sanders supporter, rebuked the Democratic National Committee when DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz proposed only holding six debates. In response, Gabbard was barred from attending the Democratic debate in Las Vegas, and decided to resign as Vice Chair of the DNC and endorse Sanders for president.
